A century ago, a postcard craze swept the nation! Mailed by the millions and collected in special albums, postcards are now considered novelties, found primarily in museum gift shops and specialty stores. In this exhibit we examine early postcards with local Sedgwick County connections. The cards exhibited date from the early 20th century and are from the Sandbox Collection of artifacts.
This special exhibit of picture postcards was created by a student volunteer through the Museum’s Sandbox and the Andale High School Senior Internship Program.
Free and open to the public.
