“African American Entrepreneurship in Wichita: Past and Present” presented by Dr. Robert E. Weems, Jr., Willard W. Garvey Distinguished Professor of Business History, Wichita State University.

Between November 2011 and December 2014, Professor Weems gathered information related to the history of black entrepreneurship in Wichita. In September 2017, he donated audio interviews, transcripts, and relevant documentary information to Wichita State University Special Collections. Weems’ presentation will feature highlights of his “Wichita African American Business History Project.”

Senior Wednesday admission is $2; admission is free for members.

The Senior Wednesday programs at the Historical Museum begin at 10:00 am in the DeVore Auditorium, and the doors open at 9:30. Refreshments are served.
