The Museum has planned special Winter Break programming for families!

Wednesday, December 28th, 1:00-3:00 pm – Child’s World Tour & Activities

Take a peek into the past to see what it was like to be a kid a century ago! A special guided tour of the Museum’s “Child’s World” exhibit accentuated by hands-on activities will provide visitors an authentic experience! Recommended for ages 5-12. Free admission.

Thursday, December 29th, 1:00-2:30 pm – Handwriting Workshop
Cast off the bounds of the keyboard and free your hands to write! Learn the lost skill and benefits of cursive writing during this introductory session. Look for more sessions in 2017!

Friday, December 30th, 1:00 -3:00pm – Young Historians Meet-Up
The Museum invites Young Historians to meet at the Museum and see what local history has to offer! This two-hour meet-up gives a peek at the possibilities. Take a special look at artifacts and behind the scenes operations at one of America’s best history museums, right here in Wichita! Free admission.

NOTE OUR HOLIDAY HOURS: We will be CLOSED on Saturday, December 24th, Sunday, December 25th, and Sunday, January 1st.
