I’m a little confused. I remember descriptions of this event last year and was looking forward to bringing our family. But, evidently, it isn’t meant for families since it’s scheduled midweek during school. That’s too bad. Is there a reason not even one day of this festival is on a weekend?

First, our apologies for not responding to your post in a more timely manner! The Wreath Festival is an annual event sponsored by our volunteers and is always held the Thursday and Friday before Thanksgiving, which does unfortunately exclude school age children. When the event was first organized, over 22 years ago, it was held Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We made the decision some years ago to focus on just Thursday and Friday. We hope you will attend some of our family events throughout the year, including the Ice Cream Social in June and our Torchlight Tour in October, as well as special events on Saturdays throughout the year. Thank you for your interest in the Historical Museum!
