“Who Scammed Rajah Rabbit?” is a local history documentary film created by award-winning sister duo Sara and Charity Harmon.
Sara and Charity Harmon are sister filmmakers in Wichita, Kansas. Both together and individually, they write, direct, edit and produce educational, entertaining content for churches, museums, schools and other clients.
“Who Scammed Rajah Rabbit?” tells the story of a salesman who arrived in Wichita in 1929 and conned the city into investing in 55,000 white rabbits. The scam affected farmers, businessmen and even children. This film won Best Kansas Documentary Short at the Tallgrass Film Festival in 2021 and Best Kansas Documentary at the Doc Sunback Film Festival in 2022.
The program will be shown on the screen in the Museum Auditorium, followed by a related tour.
