April 28th — Join archivist Gary Huffman in an in-depth look into the life of one of Wichita’s earliest settlers: Robert E. Lawrence. Huffman continues to transcribe and archive the diaries of Lawrence, watching as Lawrence lives day to day in the blossoming city of Wichita, working as a banker, real estate operator, commercial builder; serving on the Wichita Board of Education, the Kansas State Legislature, as a devout member of the First Presbyterian Church.
