The Museum celebrates the achievements of the area’s young historians with an award ceremony recognizing those who have placed in state and national competitions through National History Day.
Awards will be presented to those who have created NHD Kansas District 6 projects related to local history in Sedgwick County.
Through the generosity of the DeVore Family Foundation, the Museum will also present awards for the Devore Essay Contest winners.
Awards and other recognition are given for exhibits, essays, videos, websites, and performances.
The event includes a special keynote address by Kelly McFall, Professor of History at Newman University.
The Awards event will be followed by refreshments, a special tour, and a visit to the Museum’s clock tower.
