TEENS THROUGH TIME

The Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum has assembled a group of high school students who are gaining museum literacy while working together to plan their own event, a “Teen Night” held at the Museum.

This new program is an exciting addition to our customary educational programming. The High School students in this program will learn about the Museum and then design, organize, and host a special event. Group members will also go on to participate behind the scenes in special projects, programs, and other events.

The group meets once a month starting in October, with the event in April.

This group is a great opportunity and résumé builder for students who need volunteer hours, want to learn more about museums, or are history enthusiasts.
